Early Design Ideas (October 2025)

• Revised site plan
  • This plan illustrates the changes to the proposed site boundary of Kilnside Energy Park since our initial launch in June 2025.
• Draft Illustrative Masterplan
  • This map represents our early ideas for how we could design Kilnside Energy Park. While we still have a lot of work to do to complete our environmental assessments and move forward with the design process, by sharing this early draft now, we invite the feedback of local people on our ideas for how Kilnside could be designed.
  • The masterplan presents the areas currently under consideration for solar panel development and/or environmental mitigation (blue areas, indicatively drawn). The plan also shows proposed buffers around known sensitive features, presents potential wildlife corridors and indicative routes for new permissive paths across the site.
  • In addition, the masterplan identifies three potential locations for on-site battery energy storage systems (BESS) and substation(s). Please note that while multiple options are shown, only one location will ultimately be required for each.
